The Science Behind Platelet Rich Plasma

PRP is “Injecting Awesome into Dentistry”

  • Compared to competitive regenerative products, PRP/PRF is safer and more cost-effective.
  • Repeated peer-reviewed studies with over two decades of research confirm that PRP/PRF enhances the healing process.
  • Supercharged with your body’s natural platelets (several times its average concentration) bone graft stability is enhanced.

Why use PRP?

PRP/PRF is a biologic isolate from whole blood that is preferentially enriched for platelets, leukocytes, and fibrin. While platelets are the primary component of PRP/PRF, preparations also contain other concentrated cellular components including Fibrin, white blood cells (WBCs), and peripheral stem cells. These components all play a biological role in the healing process and are provided at concentrated levels in PRP/PRF.

After first being discovered by Drs. Robert Marx and Arun Garg, PRP/PRF gained widespread acceptance in ALL medical and dental surgical specialties. As an easy-to-use, low-cost biomaterial that facilitates tissue regeneration, PRP/PRF is a natural way to greatly enhance your patients’ surgical results! The one-day course is designed to teach dental surgeons about PRP/PRF and to guide participants on its clinical applications.
